All users can view their messages when looking at their profile. The last 100 messages for the user are displayed. The user can post a new message, reply to messages they have received, and edit or remove messages they have sent.

Posting a Message

There are four steps to posting a message:

Select the recipients for your message
Decide whether to email the recipients
Enter the text of your message
Click the "Save" button and wait for any emails that need to be sent

Select Recipients

Initially posting a message defaults to notifying all your friends. You can change this by clicking the recipients dropdown and selecting specific friends or groups (like POC or AccountOwners). If you choose multiple recipients, then multiple posts with the same message will be created so that an audit record is created for each group or recipient. Friends to be notified about the message will only receive one email even if they are in multiple groups.

Decide Whether to Email Recipients

Sometimes a message is urgent and you need to ensure that recipients are notified immediately. In this case, you can choose to email the recipients by selecting the "Email" checkbox when posting your message.

Note that emailing a lot of recipients can take some time. You will need to be patient while the system processes your request.

Enter the Text of Your Message

Enter a short sentence for your message.

Click the "Save" Button

After clicking the "Save" button, please wait for the system to process your message. If you selected to email any recipients, the system will need to send those emails before returning you to your messages list. If you navigate away from the page before the process is complete, some of your message may not be sent.

Viewing the New Messages

Once posting, and sending any required emails, is complete you will be taken to the messages view where you can see your new message(s).
